Fan over speed pl 199 boiler

Every 7 or 8 cycles get the F14 error mesage checked wires  it went away for 2 weeks than started to happen again. fan speed 5900 at pre burn and 3600 durning burn. how do I tell wheather rto change fan or control ?

    Sounds about right...most likely a bad Blower motor, but kind of a crap shoot

    Corrective Measures

    1. Check the combustion air fan wiring.

    2. Replace the combustion air fan.

    3. Replace the control board.

    I doubt the control board could be checked properly in the field.

    If it is a Peerless

    Pinnacle I believe it has the same board as a HTP Munchkin. I have the procedure for checking the board in my Mod/Con Manual Volume I, it covers the original Honeywell board (1996) the and the two later boards (925 & 926) the HTP products used.
