What would be a good replacement for this unit, instead of another combi core?

    Is this a combi core.....

That does heat and hot water in 1 tank? If so I would look at a combi boiler.... Embassy Axia or Onex... QHT Riva... Triangle tube Excelllence. kpc

    Combi

Depends on your usage. If your heating demands are greater than your domestic use then I would look at a condensing boiler with indirect water heater. Bradford White dropped the ball on the Combi Core but their ss indirect is very well made. I have dozens of them out there with no issues.

    Good Luck
If you don't have time to do it right, what makes you think you have time to do it over?

    real world answers

I was told they made significant improvements back in 2003, but here is what I have experienced.  Original install 2002, failed in 2005, replaced, failed in 2011.

Wondering if we should go another route, instead of replacing again.

How many others have failures after 2003?

    Thanks for sharing your experiences.

    I would think....

so. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice..... Customer may not be as forgiving. The AFUE for me would make it a non starter as Tank type water heaters are around 75% afue
