BTU Cost Formula

I have misplaced a formula that I once had that would allow you to calculate the cost per BTU for equipment.  I can't remember all the variables but I believe Unit size, type of fuel, and equipment efficiency were all taken into consideration.  This formula was a great tool when a customer was considering chaging fuels as well as upgrading equipment. It allows you to compair oranges to apples.  If anyone knows the formula I am looking for I would greatly appreciate the information.  Thank You.

    Thanks, but no.

These are btu per fuel unit comparisons which are a part of the formula I'm looking for.  The formula I'm looking for takes into account the fuel's btu content, efficiency of the equipment and the current cost of the fuel and I believe the btu output of the equipment.

    If that's not it....

I know i have something in my office, will post it tomorrow.

    EDIT EDIT...

I found 2 sources.  The Manual J has a whole chapter on it.  Siggy's HYDRONIC DESIGN STUDIO, after you put in your numbers, will spit out estimated annual cost for each fuel type.

All the variables are taken into consideration but what button do you push after you enter the fuel cost?  I'm not that familliar with spread sheets.  Is the spread sheet supposed to conduct the equation for you?  I don't see a formula anywhere.  Do I mutiply or divide?  Help?
