What is the type of metal duct needed to withstand temps of 1600 degrees air temp at 6 in WC?

For how long?
It sounds like you are looking at a grease duct conforming to NFPA-96?
Usually for that we specify welded minimum 16 gauge carbon steel (aka "Black Iron") for grease ducts, but with UL-1978 listed systems as an alternate. This will withstand a grease fire of 2000 degrees but only for a specified time, not continuous duty.
Stainless steel is also used.
But the 6 inches WG, well, that could be grease duct but it also sounds industrial such as material handling maybe? In that case, abrasion resistance is also a consideration and that goes to thickness.
What is the application?"If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"
