Floor warming with forced air heat

Member Posts: 53
New build with zoned forced air systems, floor warming for typical hard sufaces such as kitchen and bathrooms. Problem- Overheating kitchen area when trying to maintain warm floor. Questions- What surface temp. is generally acceptable for floor warming? Would a floor sensor be a better control strategy as opposed to using a two stage stat? Would adding a cycle timer be of any benefit? Any help would be appreciated!

Wirsbo 511s
Always use a a control like the Wirsbo/Uponor 511's. Its programable like a thermostat. It can do just floor sensing, air sensing or a combination of both. Also has teh ability to learn the cycles. It's a must when doing floor warming in my opinion.
Water temp would be based off a radiant design and heat loss. I would want to keep a 70 degree floor surface. But everyones comfort level is different."The bitter taste of a poor installation remains much longer than the sweet taste of the lowest price."0
