I'm having some trouble searching for a post answered by Mark Eatherton regarding a manufacturer of a quality dryer vent termination.

I remember Mark responded, but I can't find it. Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks

I don't think it was me....

But I could be mistaken :-)

I don't usually get involved with the air side of things.

    Sorry...

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.

    Broan

Broan makes an insulated one with a styrofoam ball. Eco Vent it is called. Only available in Canada though as far as I know.

    Info here

They are a little sensitive to mounting on flat walls and the bug protection is not perfect but its the only dryer vent that I have used that keeps my dryer interior warm in the winter.

    stainless steel

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm pretty sure it was you Mark. These were great looking vents, stainless steel, several sizes and styles nice curvy lines, kind of similar aesthetically to a Rinnai vent.

It kind of ridiculous how cheap and cheesy the readily available vent terminations are, you see these fancy houses with expensive details, and then some ugly plastic vent for the HRV and dryer.

The Broan is a better option but it's not what i was looking for.

I've never used them, but I've considered them.  Let us know about the quality...
