Balancing Valves

As I look at the mainfold set-ups I see that valves are used to "balance" each loop.

Can the balancing valves also be used to "adjust" the floor temp in a loop?

Thanks

    You bet!

We have been using the Caleffi manifolds for awhile. The flowmeters provide accurate flow, with a good design. They are best though for service I think. You are able to easily fill and purge, bleed air out of the system and provide fine tuning.

Yes is the answer to your questions. Floor temperature is controlled by many things and the flow is one of them. I generally design the floors by looping the rooms separately. Therefore, if one zone is made up of multiple rooms I am able to fine tune each room with the flowmeters. Simple and accurate.

My heat loss program, Uponar design suite, actually tells me the flows to set each loop to. Just make sure to label the loops as you install them.

    Good luck
