<span>I'm just posting this as an FYI ... 46 pages of 1927 Enclosure Research done at univ of Illinois .. <a href="http://www.ideals.illinois.edu/bitstream/handle/2142/4515/engineeringexperv00000i00169.pdf?sequence=3">http://www.ideals.illinois.edu/bitstream/handle/2142/4515/engineeringexperv00000i00169.pdf?sequence=3</a> nothing earth shattering in the study .. some enclosures which they tested yielded BETTER than non-enclosed rad. </span>

    That occurred

    when they were able to make the enclosure high enough to create a chimney effect. For the usual type of enclosure, they say "it is evident that any enclosure, unless extended to a considerable height above the top of the radiator, will reduce the condensation that would normally be expected from the bare radiator.



    In other words, it reduces the radiator's output.
