    parts

I have elements for them, but it  seems that there should be parts in the body to replace. Is there? TIA, Bryan.

    Bellows and seat

depending on who made your rebuild parts, the seat may or may not stay in place.

    Are these traps

the usual radiator traps, or float-and-thermostatic traps?

    information

Frank, first of all thanks for the help. These are f and t traps. My supplier ordered elements, Barnes and Jones # 4388. These are the incorrect elements, #1927 is correct. I was able to talk to Tom at Aquatrol-Marsh and he helped me out. Turns out these particular traps are older than anyone knows about. They have a tapping for a bottom outlet, not two side outlets as all the newer ones have. The float mechanism is removed through the top of the trap, but there is a nut that you access through this bottom tap that releases it. I have seven of these traps and two of them are piped using this bottom tap. My problem is this: try to remove the 80 year old piping to access the nut or replace the entire trap which would mean repiping to a trap with a side outlet, again dealing with the old piping. Any ideas? Bryan

    If there is a union

in the outlet piping, you should be good to go. If not, this might be a good time to install one. This way you could rebuild the trap without major piping changes. But I'll bet that piping is in better shape than you think.

    unions

Yes, there are unions near the traps. Four of the traps are end of main traps, is that going to make a difference in the quality of the pipe?
