Well, you could auction it off and use the proceeds to buy some bricks from Dan H.

    Tool Question

    Hi All,
Thank you for all your past help. I need to buy a torch for sweating pipe, nothing bigger than 1 inch. I want to get something with a hose that attaches to a tank. It doesn't need to be a contractor's grade unit, just handier than the garden variety hand-held Bernzomatic type. The creeping arthritis in my hands is making it cumbersome to hold that fat tank for any length of time. Also, Do I need to use MAPP gas or is propane good enough for sweating?

    Thanks, Roland
  • I bought this

I absolutely love it, for what I do around the house. I used to use a Turbo-Torch propane, this set uses the torch tips from that set-up as well.

I have one of those out in my garage. Used it once, could'nt stand the thing. The hose never wraps up like they show in that picture, cant fit a normal size flux container inside, etc. I would give it away.
