    Pressure relief valve

Installing a pressure relief valve on a small commercial chiller feeding two air handlers. This valve is going to be on the glycol side of the unit and dumped into the break tank feeding the system. Where 'O' where do you put the relief valve?? Two pipe system,Supply/return in 2 inch copper. Two pumps, one to act as a back up. Bladder style expansion tank and pumping away. Chiller and small amount of piping outside. rest of pipe and system inside building. Air removal by rolairtrol.

    Any

Any place on the loop that would be the shortage path for relief to discharge in a safe manner.

  • The expansion tank connection is the most stable...

Hence the term Point of No Pressure Change... ANy changes in pressure there would be suttle at that point. If you park the relief valve anywwhere, just make sure that it won't see pump induced pressure or it will do what it is designed to do. Releive excess pressure.
