tankless question

I have a 4 family apt building heated with a burnham V34 172MBH presently on steam. The boiler has 2 Everhot model 232 rated 5 GPM piped in series for DHW. This amazingly works very well though ocassionally someone gets a cold shower. I am in the process of converting to hot water but do not want to use a water maker or other separate unit at this time. If I pipe this so that 2 apts are on 1 tankless with 2 on the other would this work? Thanks for any help.

If
your going water why not put in a indirect hwh.Size it correctly and you shouldn't have any problems0 -
how many fixtures ?
you need to look at the flow rate for the aparments maybe add flow restritors to showers and taps to balance the load0
