What is the Best Bleeder Valve for single line Steam Radiators

Hey Folks,

I had a few people tell me to use adjustable bleeder valves on my steam radiators to help regulate pressure in my new steam boiler system. Any favorites out there? Where can I find the best deal? The holes in my radiators for the bleeder valves are 1/8".

Thanks!
Scott

    if you mean...

air vents...Gorton are my favorites. They will nnot regulate the pressure in the boiler...just get the air out faster..

    radiator steam valves

radiator steam valves do not regulate boilers steam pressure . the air vent size is to be adjusted for the size of the radiator. the goal is to get the air out of each of the radiators at the same time, thus a more balanced system. steam pressure on boiler should be the least amount of pressure to get to the furthest radiator with 1 psi. try 3-4 psi setting. normal for residential and big commercial bldgs.

    I would actually

go w/ 2 psi. Most properly piped systems can run on lower than that.
