it is incompatible,not physically but practically.Every call for heat with an EK is a cold start unless it's still purging heat from a previous call

    system 2000 and Becket's Heat manager

    Can the Becket heat manager be of help or does the heat controller on the 2000 do similar or is it incompatible?

    The EK manager purges all residual energy from boiler after every cycle.

    Is it really incompatable?

    is it really incompatable? I think the heat manager might work if you could get it wired to the system manager after all it (the beckett heat manager)is going to control burn run time depending on load and the EK is controling circ and valve for heat purge regardless of load. Just thinking out loud here.

    2000 vs heat manager

    Think of the system 2000 scanvenging heat on the back side of the firing cycle while the Beckett does it on the front side. If there is no heat for the Heat manager to use, the burner will fire. It doesn't control burn time. It delays oil firing if there is heat to scavnge. The System 2000 would appear to be more efficient since it eliminates standby losses.

    ok that makes sense. I have not installed a heat manager but assumed if acted as a boiler reset in that off the burner until the DT between supply and return signaled an increased load. Like longer circ time shorted burner time.
