How long is to long.

I have a one-pipe steam system. I use a programable thermostat. At night i set it back to 64 and when i go to work during the day. At 5pm it goes to 67. It takes about 40 minutes to reach temp. was wondering if thats to long of a time to get to desired temp? all piping in the basement are insulated, I have a Gordon's #2 main vent at the end. My pressure on the boiler reaches about 1 1/2 psi before it shuts off on pressure. I tried to set it lower but i think its max'ed out. Anybody have any word's of wisdom for me would be great. thanks
