Ultra Boiler Vent question

I have a question regarding venting a WM Ultra boiler. I plan on venting outside through a masonry wall and want to know if I need to use the termination cap provided or could I use my own. Does the intake and exhaust need to be right next to each other or can they be separated by about 10 feet where they terminate? Thanks

    Don't understand were they terminate

ten feet apart, if they come from the same boiler they should be traveling the same distance.

In the manual they do show independent terminations using elbows and bird screens but they typically want the lengths of runs to be roughly equal and be in fairly close so they are effected equally by the same outside environment.

1st, check your manual. It's in there!

2nd, Any direct vent appliance (separate intake and exhaust) that I've ever worked with, specify's that the terminations should be within 12" of each other horizontally. As mentioned, this is to ensure both pipes "see" the same atmospheric conditions. Typically, but depending on vertical distance to the avg snow level outside, the intake will exit the wall and be turned down with an elbow. The exhaust must terminate 12" above the intake and point straight out from the wall to avoid recirculation of flue gas through the intake.
