Advice Needed Boiler and Indirect Fired Hot Water

Hi,
I have a 1400 sq/ft Cape Cod home in NJ with baseboard HW driven by a 100K btu gas boiler and individual gas HW heater. During the Oct/04-Sept/05 year we consumed about 836 Therms.
My home while well insulated has some air leaks. It's as sealed as the professionals could get it. Windows are new and dual pane low e.
The current system draws all its air from the basement which pulls from the rest of the house.
I've read this site and a few others and consulted with a few heating contractors the end of last year. Finances weren't available at the time so the work was put off until now.
The concensus was to use a Utica USC Direct Vent Fired Boiler and a Weil McLain or Slant Fin Indirect HW heater and team them up with a reset controller for the best performance.
Does the above solution still offer a good ROI or should I be looking into different components? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Paulie

If you're using a direct-vent boiler
make sure there is a place to vent it that meets local codes- typically 4 feet from a window, 7 feet above a walkway, above the maximum snow accumulation for your area etc.
Also remember that the gas utility is probably an unregulated monopoly that can raise prices whenever it wants. However, oil suppliers are generally in a much more competitive situation. Check the cost per BTU of oil vs. gas in your area to see which is less expensive.
With those points satisfied, it sounds like a good choice.
