Weil Mclain Ultra 105

Folks: I am a homeowner in the Philadelpha area with a fairly newly-installed Ultra 105 gas boiler with indirect hot water (18 months) and baseboard. I use a condensate pump as my basement has no nearby drain.
It seems to me that the condensate pump runs much less frequently than it did when the installation was new, and also that there is much more steam appearing at the exhaust pipe during normal operation. Since the condensation is responsible (partly) for the high efficiency operation, I'm interested in having it behave properly. I've also noticed some erratic behavior with the DHW heating mode involving early shutoff of the flame before the output water temp reaches 190, which seems to result in longer recovery time than I was getting when the unit was new. A service call to my installer showed that I was much more familiar with proper operation than the serviceman.
However, my biggest problem is that I think my installer really doesn't understand the subtleties involved in the operation and maintenance of this boiler. The service person "most familiar" was at my house for annual check up, and he hasn't performed the checks listed in the operation manual (cleaning burner, etc.) Calls/emails to Weil-Mclain are useless, as they WILL NOT recommend a contractor in my area (neither will the local distributor). I've made several calls to HVAC firms listed in the Yellow Pages, without success. Any suggestions?

Take the cover off....
(two screws in bottom, left out and up)
Down in the lower back corner you will see a hose that runs the condensate out. take off that hose and clean it out, it sounds to me like the trap that the hose makes to drain the condensate is partially plugged.
There are other possibilities, but I would check that first.
