Freeze Protecting Hydronic Heating Piping

Besides common sense and the ocassional manufacturers recommendations that hydronic system piping (forced hot water, Hydro air coils)not be installed in a location prone to freezing or that the system be protected with glycol, does anyone know of any code requirements regarding this?

    Well, no...

    but a decent lawyer and an irate client with frozen system components, resulting water damage, loss of comfort, allegation after allegation, who can read the manufacturer's caveats as well as you can, would find something just as effective...
