Buderus GB142 vs Vitodens 200

Either will work fine. I have first hand experience with the Vitodens, but not with the Buderus. The Vitodens is a first class boiler that really is worth the extra money in my opinion. The Vitocells are also very nice, but will set you back a little when it comes time to pay the bill. A Vitodens paired with a Crown Megastor/Burnham Alliance tank is a nice combination that will save quite a bit over the Vitocell. The Comfortrol in the Vitodens provides a lot of control options right out of the box.

Buderus vs Veissman
Finally decided it's long overdue to replace my 70's vintage low efficiency rust bucket boiler in hopes of reducing those high gas bills this winter and beyond....and not have it blow when it's 10 below. I'm a homeowner/architect with only enough knowledge to get me in trouble, so am hoping I can get some opinions on Buderus vs Veissman. I do "green" work so now it's time to put my money where my mouth is and invest in the high efficiency of a wall hung condensing boiler for my own house, but which one? Buderus is apparently a little less than the Vitodens, more than a good old cast iron definite like Burnham Revolution (another possibility.) I'm also going for broke (literally) with indirect domestic H20...Ouch.
Can anyone help me feel better about doling out so much cash?
Personal experience is welcome as I see there is a lot of that to go around on The Wall.0 -
