Which side of the system for circulators?

I think his plumber owes him a 4 pack.

    Circulators placement?

    Ill make it short I was a B&G tech 15 years ago,thne they said that circs went on the supply side of the boiler(hydronic) now I am replacing my own boiler and have three zones piped with flow checks my buddy the plumber LMP says to put them on the return and they will basicly suck open the flow checks.what does the wall belive what hte wall says I will do and if the wall agress with my buddy he gets a 4 pak of guiness-

    supply

    You're right, they should be on the supply, mainly to get the expansion tank on the suction side of the pumps. In general, pumps should push, not pull.

    Pumping away

    I pipe everything this way. Expansion tank/air eliminator, then circs and or zone valves, all on the supply.

    he just saved the plumber call backs... maybe he ought to get a boiler maker A?

    Tell ur plumber buddy to SUPPLY us the beers...... In my dad's 1954 something B&G book, shown some systems have pump on the supply side... Found a old National U S boiler manuel (1963) stating pump should be on supply side... Let us know if ur buddy needs the address from us to send the beer....
