Converting systems

I've been kicking around switching my forced air heating system over to radiant staple up with plates and an indirect. I just wonder how often a boiler would run compared to a forced air gas furnace, also wonder what the efficiency gain would be by going to the indirect vs staying with a conventional gas water heater. The problem we have is our living space has high ceilings, and that part of the house is always chilly in the winter, where as the bedrooms with low ceilings are hot....I am hoping to control the living area to be more comfortable....
Heat loss calculations show 75000btu/hr and I was shopping for a Weil Mcclain Ultra....probably a 105 thinking the 80 may not be enough boiler....How many btu's can you get out of 3/8 pex and extruded aluminium plates? Either by running foot or square foot...I know I've seen that figure, but I can't seem to find it now....
Also wondered how you determine when natural gas flow through a residential meter is maxed out.....
Any advice, cautions would be appreciated.
