gov-ray radiators

If it's one pipe steam, you connect one side and plug the other. A steam vent goes on the plugged side. The valve and pipe have to be sized properly according to the size of the radiator. You can't just install a bigger radiator if the pipes are too small. The radiator must also be sized properly for the room's heat loss.
The unit should be tilted toward the supply pipe slightly.
Beware, the Gov-Ray radiators are from China and very close to all the of the ones I installed are either filled with sand or leak. Don't be surprised if you have to return two or three until you find one that's tight. So check it with water under pressure first or at very least run the heat for awhile before you install the finish around the thing.

gov-ray radiator
i want to install a gov-ray radiator in my one pipe steam system and need the info on how to connect the radiator to the line coming up through the floor. The radiator has two connections (one one each side,1 1/4" up from the floor). Do i cap one side off, does the unit need to be tilted, how do i tie in a shut off valve ?
thank you0
