I have a 5 piece of baseboard that has a 1" feed and a 3/4"
return with a stem trap on the end of baseboard before heading to basement. In the basement I have a 1" return pipe connecting to the retur piping, in between I have a gorton #2 8" above return and it just keeps leaking water when the system runs any suggestions? Is the steam trap letting to much water go and is that causing the problem?
Do I need the steam trap ?

Is the baseboard return
connected to a wet or dry return main?

The return line comes into the basement about ten inches below the ceiling turns has a quick vent and the drops intothe existing return line approximately 3 to 4 inches below normal water line.0
