but expensive. You'll be running such a low water temp just to warm the floors. Can't you create a hot water zone off your courent steam boiler? Is there an unused tankless coil or tappings below the water line you could use?

Opinon on supplemental heating
I have a properly functioning two pipe steam system. However, in my 2200 sq ft 1926 Home, the floors are often cold during the Winter. (Note: Windows already replaced, insulation improved, etc.) What are folks' opinions about adding staple up radiant to the first floor, via the basement. The addition of a small supplemental hydronic boiler would be required. Is this a stupid idea or does it have merit?0 -
Not sure
I'm not sure on the config of the existing boiler (WM EG-35) as to whether or not a loop could be added.0 -

EG-35
has an optional tankless coil you could get to be your heat exchanger for the loop.0
