As you hear the names, please remember my hero friend, and Port Authority Policeman, John Scala. John just finished his shift and was on his way home when he was called to duty. He staged with his unit and went in, as so many others, to try to help others who couldn't help themselves. In the aftermath his entire unit made it out. John was never found. He is one of the some who gave all.

I spent three months working there after 911 kinda funny I had only been to Newyork twice in my life. Got sent home from the office that day and told to pack a bag. kissed my wife and kids and hit the road. I still have nightmares once in a while....mostly the smell...

The folks in those towers made NO political statement.

The folks in those towers had no control over national policy.

They went to work, just like we all do every day.

The firemen and policemen did what no-one else would do, running IN to get everyone OUT.

This attack had nothing to do with politics. It wasn't Dems vs. Reps, liberal vs. conservative.

It was an attack against America.

My heart still aches for the victims of this murder, as well as the ones left behind.

Dan, when you are at ground zero, drop a flower for me.

Ralph was from my small town. He left for a business trip that morning. He said good bye to his wife and two children.

He was on the first plane.

Took that long to get over teaching that day in NYC and watching it happen, up-front! I'm on my way to NYC and LI again this week, I sure don't want a repeat of that first trip, FACT!

On this day, that changed our country and lives forever, we salute our brave firemen ( we know Timmy Stackpole and Bobby Regan) and all the poor , innocent souls whose lives were so cowardly snuffed out. Marianne stood Honor Guard in the footprint of the North Tower down in the pit all day today and I did the same in the footprint of the South Tower. We saw things today that we will remember and treasure all the days of our lives today. Such incredible love.
