We are looking to attend a radiant school not sponsored by a manufacturer. We've attended Wiresbo & Rehau courses, and we are looking to get some advanced design and control training. Which one is best? We've looked at RPA schools as an option. Anybody have any suggestions?

    RPA schools

are great radiant specfic courses. Start with the basic class, if you are new to radiant.

I've attended RPA classes taught by Mark Eatherton, & Siggy. Shadowed a class by Ted Lowe. All do an excellent job with plenty of real life experience.

The RPA also has some home courses with Siggy in a box. Or call the RPA for setting up a class in your area.

    AAMCO

Remember the old AAMCO commercial where the the tech says to the boss "golly gee boss, I always wanted to work on a transmission".

    Canadian Schools

Robert Bean has put together a hydronics learning program with HRAI. I've only seen bits of it but the overview reads well.
Another promising course is being offered by the pipe trades department at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) including distance learning options.
RPA is still the most focused for radiant and their certification has it's benefits.
    Enjoy....Dan

    Hydronic School

I sent three of my staff to the HRAI Hydronics training course in Calgary. Robert Bean was the instructor and was the person responsible to its material focus. Three solid days of design criteria and calculations. All were were extremely happy with its content. Not sure where Robert Bean is at on this, but if you send him an information request I am sure he can add to it.
