Thank you Mark, I appreciate the kind words. And it was a pleasure to meet you in person. Good luck with that boiler job you have been awarded by the city.

Bad news !!!
I lost all them pics i took across the last couple days, what a bum deal, Sorry guys !! SH.
Murph'0 -
But the best part
was renewing old friendships with Mark, Alan, Glenn, Rich, Jerry, Vic, Kirt and finally meeting Cheese, that science guy, Al and, of course, Murph. I was humbled to be in such great company.
We even got to see Beckett's new oil fired mailbox!!
Take care, guys and stay in touch!!0 -
The mailbox was awesome!!!!!!
Man, oh man, was that an incredible burner or what??
My hat is off to Alan and Beckett for a great day. Educational and informative. Heck, my guys even stayed awake after all the pizza they inhaled at lunch!!! I especially enjoyed meeting Bill NTSG Nye and Mark Custis, and yeah, it was good seeing Murph and Cheese again (ok, it was good seeing Cheese). Also got to meet the one and only Glen(n?)Harrison and Rudy Leatherman, along with the infamous Eleft!! BTW - Rudy, I just got my Bacharach CO tester calibrated last month. If I'd known you would be doin' it for free today, I woulda held off!!
Seriously, though, one of the biggest things I learned today was that the R.W. Beckett company is truly a class act.

An oil fired mailbox
Really, what a great idea, imagine how much you'ld save in the first year alone - and low NOX to boot!!!0 -
Murph
If that is your real name!
Are you sure you wound the film in right?
Maybe you forgot to take the lense cap off.
Remember, you're not a photographer just because you play one on TV.

The Buckeye State(mk)
First I was very happy I went. The trip was smooth as silk and the company was great.Beckett rolled out the red carpet for Alans workshop. The plant tour was cool as was the lab workshop. Its always a great lift to go somewhere to learn things in the industry.
What makes it so great is to be with individuals that come from all tangents of this country and other countries to share the knowledge to make us better technicians. All of these things are possible because of Alan's devotion and love of the oil industry and the great people that he has made his freinds. And for this I thank him. You're a special man Alan.
The pictures are from a rest stop off of route 80 in Ohio. Also impressive! It was a round building with lots of glass.Check out whats under the glass. And yes the bathroom facilities were "mens","womens" and ??
cheese
PS......we did make it to The Cracker Barrel!0 -
What I want to know is
how you guys found this out.

I appreciate the kind words and having you and Bill as Copilots for the trip. You two kept me in stitches all they to Ohio and back. All I can say is I really have been blessed with some wonderful friends.

What an awesome experience
First, getting to meet Murph, Cheese, Bill Nye, Alan, Eleft, Starch, Mark Custis, and seeing Rudy again. Glad to be able to finally put some names and faces together.
Then getting to see Alan in action and get some well needed oil training for this gas brain (or is that gas on the brain)
Then the added bonus of the Beckett factory tour. What an amazing facility. The testing facilities and the training lab, seeing the new low NoX burner and the LE "blue flame" burner, assembling and diagnosing a burner and seeing the manufacturing and assembling of burners and there components, and meeting the Beckett family. WOW, no other way to say it!
And all this in only a day and a half!
I'll admit I hated leaving this morning because it ment it was over already. Bummer
I think I have to take the blame for Murph's "lost" pictures. Me thinks digital camera's and cranberry juice don't mix. I'm sorry Murph', let me know if I owe you something. On the good side, we wont cause a world wide shut down of the web by having my picture floating around
Thanks for an incredible time, Alan. I will remember this for a long time.
And to everyone reading this, the next time Alan has this special class, you've got to go. You won't regret it.
By the way, cheese, I did stop at one of those rest stops and now I can say I've seen my first Runtal rad. Very impressive. I did miss the ??? bathrooms tho. Maybe that's an east Ohio thing
And I did get home safe and sound, once I got thru the Ohio ice storm and around all the accidents on I-80.
Thanks to everyone.
