Condensate accumulator

This is the first one of these I have seen. Can someone identify it for me. Picture is attached. It appears to be a condensate accumulator. However the 1/2 inch pipe out of the top is open to atmosphere. Possibly had a vent in the past.

That looks like it was made by Kellog Mackay. That open pipe may have gone to a mercury pot as an air seal. Do you have any more pictures?0
