Need a boiler that does steam & forced hot water

Hello!



We need to replace a boiler (combustion chamber collapsing, cast iron face plate cracked, etc.) for the second unit in our 1920s two-family. This unit has the old steam radiators (which I love) on the second floor and forced hot water base boards on the third floor (an attic conversion). Our current boiler runs on oil and can accommodate both the steam system and the water system. We would like to covert to gas, as we already have a gas line in the house. Can anyone kindly recommend a solid boiler, preferably gas and preferably on the affordable size?

    How does the hot-water portion

    connect to the boiler? Can you post some pics?

    They all do that.

    You just need an installer who knows how not to muck it up.
