    Mike,

what about "gravity hot water heating system"

    look in the library here.

surely not built by a company called gravity.
  • oh, i'm aware of

gravity hot water systems, but i wasn't considering air as a fluid, but from further reading, it is considered a fluid. and even though it isn't built by a company called gravity, it is a serious subject

now wait a minute, as far as space and weightlessness; "If you are in a spaceship far between the stars and you put a scale underneath you, the scale would read zero. Your weight is zero. You are weightless."

    Chocolate milk

First off, chocolate milk doesn't live long enough to turn back to white, and shouldn't :)
I don't think it's a good analogy at all. Milk, and it's color, have nothing to do with air temperature and stratification. As far as this conversation goes, you're merely clouding the issue :)

    space

yes, you are right. I should have made it more clean I was talking about our space shuttle and the lab not far above us.

if you stand in a fast elevator on a scale and you go down to the lobby from several floors up, you will see your weight change on the scale as the elevator accelerates, even though gravity or your mass has not changed. same principle applies in the space station.
