I have an old colonial with single pipe steam heat. the boiler was replaced +/- 10 yrs ago and should be sufficient to handle two additional radiators. my question is can i tee off of two separate 2nd floor rads to feed two more which will be in the third floor? any new runs from the main are not an option. any thoughts?
thanks, bob

(Actually I just made that up.)
Your key approach absent tying in new risers would be to assess at least the pipe sizes versus the connected EDR you want to serve. You may be lucky in that the existing sizes are at the low ends of their capacity range and may well carry what you need.
Of course if you are wrong, you can throw away your alarm clock..0
