is your tank exposed to the eliments? if so build a shed around it add an outlet above tank for a drop light or just install a light above the tank plug in a 100 watt light bulb that should provide enough heat to keep the top of tank warm and the oem rocket working

    OemRocket

Hello all-and Happy New Year to all..Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like mine... I bought the OEM Rocket fuel guage and installed it on my Vert Standing 275 Gal OutSide fuel oil tank.. The Rocket works Great however only when the outside air temperature is above 30 degs F --When the temperature outside Drops to the low 20s--Like it is today here--The signal from the Rocket to the inside transmitter is lost.. I get a display of a blinking icon on the receiver that shows that the signal was lost! BTW the distance between the rocket and the inside receiver is about 3ft if that.. When its warm outside the rocket displays fine.. The cold winter months is when i need to know my fuel level-not when it warm..LOL

    Thanks for any help...

Yeah but what makes me mad is teh fact that OEM states that the unit works well at low low temps-Single digits.. The unit says INDOOR AND OUTDOOR...

You might try a Lithium battery, they are good to -40*.
