How much would a boiler rated at 150,000 btu cost to install? A friend of mine boiler cracked two days ago.

    Prices are not usually discussed on this site. Get some competitive bids. There are too many variables involved in pricing a boiler change out to even chance a guess at what it would cost. When I have to pass on a job, I usually tell a caller to get 4 bids, because one will be very high and one very low, and two in the middle...those are the guys to talk to.

    Al had some good advice. Don't try too hard for the low bid, you may just get what you pay for. Look for someone trying to sellyou a cold start boiler ( Biasi and Buderus are a couple of good ones). This type of boiler will pay for itself over time. Ask for references. The installer is as important as the equipment.
