Baxi fill problem?

The radiant and heating systems are controlled by a 3-way valve not pressure actuated. Where are you trying to fill it from? I think 25% is the max for glycol mix, on the Baxi.

    Baxi fill problem?HELP!

We have the new condensing baxi combo boiler in a cottage radiant setup for winter heat during construction.I wanted to put a 30% glycol solution in by pumping and purging the loops and the boiler all at once. The problem is the boiler won't let me purge thru it.It looks to be in domestic water mode.We have no water service into the cottage yet so I cant fill thru the boiler fill valve, yet the tech support guy says thats the only way can fill the system because of the backflow preventer install in the boiler.Has any one come across this problem?I would think if it was in heating mode prior to glycol filling you would be able to purge and fill the boiler.Do I need pressure on the domestic side to get it into heating mode?

I,m trying to fill thru the inlet/return side of the boiler and purge out the supply side.I'm still thinking it's not allowing this to happen because it's in domestic water mode. The led light for domestic was on even after I thought I turned of domestic mode

    John have you

tried to reset the control knob on the far right side of the panel? Also have you attempted any programming with the QAA 73 controller?

Bob thanks for your thoughts,i'm not sure what reset controll knob on the right your talking about? Is it the reset knob on the left?yes I have.As for the QAA73 controller finally at the end of a long day I was reading the manual and realized we were missing this controll(this is my owners cottage and he had unpacked the boiler and hung it on the wall prior to my arrival and didn't tell me this new boiler came with a controller)we're use to installing the old noncondensing boiler.any way hooked the controller up started to program it,didn't have time to get into understanding Italian or how to get it into English.I hope that's what your going to tell me to get this to work.

    Oops

the one on the left, that's the one. The QAA controller is a bit of an effort to get through, however once you figure it out , it's easy. Your gonna love the boiler!!

Have you been able to fill it yet??

No, I won't be going back till after the Holidays. The boiler fill and start up a put on hold.So I guess once the controll is configured correctly I should be able to fill/purge thru the heating return side.
