I think you're being nervous0 -
Accuracy could be improved
if you wrap insulation around the strap-on sensors. I've come across this before, when monitoring refrigeration efficiencies. They're being confused by trying to read pipe temps and affected by ambient air at the same time.
Your return may be hotter than you or "IT" thinks.
Just a thought.

thanks I will insulate them, however the same setup for the baseboard gives me a 10-15 delta0
