One pipe steam return line

Yes, you can use copper, but you'll eventually have corrosion issue since joining copper and iron always causes electrolytic corrosion. But the copper is cheap and easy to work with.
If you are planning to be in the house for any length of time do it right and use black iron. It's not that hard to work with once you realize that a good plumbing supply house will have nipples of nearly every size. It's harder work but it will last another 75 years.

1 pipe steam return line
I justed noticed a leak in my return line which is buried behind a block wall. Naturally the auto feed is constantly running. Any problems with replacing the whole return line in front of the block wall with copper? Pros & cons?
Happy holidays to all!0
