diaphragm-type low pressure gauge

That gauge is only rated to 140 degrees F and cannot handle the steam. I talked to technical support at www.gaugestore.com. The rep. I talked to said even with a siphon to isolate the gauge from the steam - there's water involved, which this gauge cannot handle.

I believe that I need a low pressure gauge that's protected from the steam/water by a diaphragm.

    diaphragm-type low pressure gauge

I'm trying to locate a low pressure gauge for my steam boiler. Hopefully something that measures 0-2 psi. I'm not having much luck finding a low pressure gauge that can work with steam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also very interested in this subject, since I just bought the Wika low pressure gauge. My question would be, what medium does the gauge actually see? I know there is water in the siphon, but there is air above that. As the system pressurizes, wouldn't the water compress the air above it and that's what would be acting on the diaphragm????? If so, this gauge might be more thatn adequate. The alternative type gage mentioned runs about $285.

Anyone have experience with this low pressure gauge? If so, did it continue to work over the long haul? Sure hope there is a low cost, reliable gauge for all of us who need a low pressure gauge for steam boilers. I've had one of the Wika brand gauges for a week now. Will see how if it lasts.
