Install hydronic AAV

I need to replace my boiler system air vent, which was only installed last spring. Seems it has gotten dirt in it and leaks after air is purged, so I can't leave the vent cracked open.
I have purchased a B&G no. 400 AAV. It warns of over-tightening it when installing if teflon tape is used. Although it appears to have a nut-like ridge adjacent to the threaded 1/4" coupling, it would need a very thin wrench to access it so I assume I can use a pipe wrench on the body of the AAV to tighten it (or can I get it tight enough by finger pressure alone - I doubt it?)
Anything I need to know to avoid damage to the unit?
