we gave New York Cares a check for $1,400, which will cover the cost of all the books they need to buy for a very special adult literacy program during 2006. Women who are living in shelters with their small children will be reading these books together. Most of these women are very young, and all have been battered by men. They are in an emergency situation and most have little education. The New York Cares program helps them to learn to read better so that they might find jobs and get back on their feet.

All of the money that we donated came from this E-booklet: <a href="http://www.heatinghelp.com/shopcart/product.cfm?category=2-138">Balancing Steam Systems Using a Venting Capacity Chart</a>. This is the original research done by Gerry Gill and Steve Pajek. We sell it for $10 and donate all of that $10 to New York Cares for this program.

Not only are you helping yourself by owning this fascinating research, you are helping others who are in dire need of help right now.
