    27.72 inches

    Gas pressure (natural gas) is measured in water column pressure so it really is a WC (WG) issue.

    2.31 feet per PSI x 12 inches per foot =27.72 inches

    I Love that Number!

    When we do gas systems at the college, I teach them about the 27.7 IWC per psi and then we convert it to feet by dividing by 12 to get 2.31. This number is, magically, the number of feet of head (rise) you get per pound of pressure differential across a pump.

    Very useful stuff....
