Made this video to show clients how a properly vented radiator looks as it fills with steam. Taken at 6 sec intervals for 23 minutes

    Cats always find the warm spots, I remember having a console color tv in the late 70's (mostly tubes). In the winter that's where the cat slept when it was cold. She was not happy when I put a cable box on top of it, more than once I found it teetering off the edge.

    It's an old fir floor with poly. Semi gloss I think. It is less shiny than the video would lead you to believe.

    I honestly don't think we needed an expensive FLIR to show us that.

    Mass is the entire reason I have an Ecosteam. Steam it self will allow the system to cool much faster than hot water once the burner shuts down but the 4000 pounds of iron in my house takes forever to cool.

    But at the same time, mass can add comfort if controlled because it delays the heating and delays the cooling. Fast changes are bad, which is why forced air is what it is.

    Would love to see one of those panel rads on steam though out of curiosity.
