new boiler - buderus vs viessmann vs peerless?

I have 3 quotes for a new oil boiler -- any advice? are these comparable?  do I need more information, and if so, what?

1- "Peerless WBV03WPCL oil fired cast iron boiler"

2- "Buderus G-115/4 boiler with burner"

3- "Viessmann VR1-27 oil boiler and Viessman VR1-27 Riello oil burner"

ALSO, one quote includes replacing the value (firomatic B104CF flare

angle valve) and circulator (grundfos alpha 1555FRLC var. speed

circulator) but the other two don't.  Is it a good idea to replace those?

    my thoughts

I LOVE the Viessman burner which isn't what you asked, but I am throwing it out there.

Viessman is the current state of the art boiler/burner set-up in my opinion.

    the downside is the price

Peerless is simple and sturdy and attractively priced.

I like them and sell loads of them to price sensitive customers.

Buderus with the logomatic control is the best value out there

for a triple pass boiler w/ outdoor reset ,

its a nice compromise between the other two

still a bit pricey but the savings of operation will pay off in the long run.

    I hope this helps

Always replace the flared firomatic with any new boiler,

its so automatic I leave it out of proposals

packaged boilers come with one new circulator,

now is a good time to replace them all

Ask the ones who didn't adress it to include it, I bet they both say OK

    Buderus or Viessman

I would go with the Buderus or Viessman both very good triple pass boilers. When I replace a boiler I cut the pipes and replace everything valves, expansion tank, circulators etc. Not changing other components when changing the boiler is like buying a new car then asking if you can take the old tires off your old car and put them on the new car to save a buck.
