we had a argument at work today that pipe unions have no flow requirements and I said they do..  Does anyone have written proof that there is a flow requirement? Thanks jeff

    Do you mean....

    pressure drop on flow?

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.

    I've never seen

a code requirement on them -- all the ones I've seen have been full port -- full pipe diameter -- so the water or whatever wouldn't even know they are there, seems to me.
