Eternal GU195 for radiant and DHW

Has anyone used these for both DHW and radiant underfloor heat?

I can get one of theses from my suppliers for $1650.

My other considerations were TT excellence 120

or

Cadet 110

The price on the latter 2 is much higher almost double.

My situation

San Francisco temps

Present:

2 bed

1 laundry

1 bathroom tub/shower

Kitchen sink

Radiant underfloor:

One floor 1100 sq foot .pex installed with uponor joist trac attached to underside of sub floor 3/4" + 1/4" hardwood.

Zones x 2

Future:

Add 1 more full bathroom to the above

Can the eternal cope? I'm liking the price!!

Any suggestions of other cost efficient units greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

    Eternal

The Eternal is not rated for boiler it will void the warranty. But the GU195 is a great water heater I install a lot if them. It will more then cover your  DHW needs. What about a Baxi HT380 it does both heating and hot water. I installs a lot of this also works great on 2.5 bathroom house with kitchen and laundry. Plus If you have them installed by certified tec. you can get a 10year part and labor warranty.

    heat loss calculation

is the first step here.  You will have trouble putting more than 30-35k into that tubing.  A Cadet 40 or a TT PTS60  might work.  What was there before?

    Check code

Check local code, we cannot combine heating and DHW without heat exchanger in our geographic area.

So eternal is only DHW for us which they do work well

Find a good tech and see what he supports TT is a nice product

    Re: eternal or TT etc

Triangle is my favorite boiler, with that said, I have installed a Eternal for heat and hot water w/ braze plate heat x for small art studio/party room.  Eternal does have a drawing for this and also is rated for heat/hot water if memory serves me. Not a asme vessel but still has rating. I would check with local inspectors on it first although. It has worked well in this application. Appx 1000 sft space, intermittent use.  I still don't think it will last near like a tt or Lochinvar whn will but if the right application comes up I might do another.
