New house with buderas furnace

Hi I bought a split ranch in September. On October 31st the furnace stopped completely. I had a the company out and they got it going. Since then I've had 6 calls to them for it cycling. It kept trying to fire but couldn't. I always have heat because it continues to try to fire but so frustrating. I lay in bed and listen to it try to fire three times then it fires and stays running for 11 seconds then it goes through that's all over again. This goes on for over an hour. They are now thinking that I should add a power vent. The py came and changed the nozzle again. By the way it is oil and direct vent. Any suggestions?

Have you had anyone to really carefully clean and check the burner and adjust it? Just changing the nozzle probably won't do it -- and I, anyway, doubt that changing the venting will do it either. There are any number of things it could be... but a good oil burner man (or woman!) should be able to get it going.

What make and model burner is on that Buderus? Only certain burners will work with direct-vent- if it has a Beckett AFG or Riello F series, it's the wrong burner. But there are direct-vent specs for the Beckett NX, Carlin EZ1-HP and Riello BF series. Let us know.
