Snow melt wiring

Can anyone lend some help wiring my snow melt, I have a Tekmar 654 control with a AZEL Ilink SP83 relay control. I do not know how to wire the controls together. Tekmar says the AZEL is not powerful enough to operate the 654 with the slab sensor due to the heater in the sensor, they recommend i purchase their relay control. Don't want to throw more money and still not have it work.

frustrated,
Tim

The 650 only detects slab temp and outdoor temp. It does not look like it is compatible with 090 "puck" sensors that have higher current draw.
According to the literature, the 650 only requires 3 Va of power. I would be surprised if the Azel could not handle that.
If you are not comfortable powering it from the Azel unit, just buy an inexpensive 40 Va transformer and power it from that.
