Radiator rescued

Thanks to a tip here on HH, I traveled to Omaha to save this radiator. Home was built in 1910, would this type of radiator have been installed then? Sure was a grunt for 3 to load, the truck rides better

    Why did they take that beauty out? I think I would have remodeled and made it a focal point! Good job saving it!

    This contractor buys these homes in run down areas and either flips them or rents them. So they get forced air systems for heat and AC. Too bad it was a great old Victorian home that cried out for cast iron warmth

    I'll try this with various piping methods and film it with an IR camera to see how evenly it heats and how quickly.

    @""hot rod" I have a 1902 home and I have several of those exact radiators in my home.
