I haven't been on The WALL much. I have been travelling this great country doing my best to deliver top shelf training on Basic Hydronics with a holistic approach to hydronic heating.

The training has been well received and I have been fortunate enough to be able to give away some of Dan's EDR-Every Darn Radiator books. You would absolutely be stunned at how many contractors incorrectly size a boiler to a connected radiator load. This book has been a great give-away that contractors appreciate.

Dan and TLM shipped some books to WI for me and got them out the door very quickly and it was greatly appreciated.

If you don't own this book, consider purchasing it, you won't be disappointed.

Best,

Paul

Excellent idea Paul. I have been giving away copies of Pumping Away at my classes.

That PONPC is by far the hardest concept for installers and designers to grasp. I spend a few slides on it, but give away a copy of Pumping Away to the attendee with the "deer in the headlights look" when we talk PONPC.

I mistakenly gave away my autographed copy!

Is there a box quantity pricing available, Dan?

It's amazing after all these years I still see most HW jobs piped with the pump on the return.

Actually many of the new mod cons require pumping into the return of the boiler. That way the boiler "sees" the pump delta P. BUT, you need to move the expansion tank connection upstream of the circ.

The air eliminator should still be on the hot, supply side, just don't hang the expansion tank from it.

I still think there's an opportunity here for a paid app. Take the images and data in EDR, add the few oddballs some have identified here since it was published, and you have a winner. I'd sure love to have that with me when I visit old houses...
