The ABF is an air separator. Any good air separator that can connect to a plain steel expansion tank will work.

my question was obviously misunderstood. the ABF is desirable to be reused! The near boiler piping suggestions to reuse this top tapping application devise with a side tapping replacement boiler was asked. thanx,

B&G makes two ABF s one for top out and one (ABFSO) for side outlet. In the 1949 B&G Handbook they have a diagram and dimensions on how to use an ABF with a side outlet boiler. You can find that book in the library on this site. Sorry, I went looking for the library but it appears to be missing. I scanned it out of my book.

But, if you can't reuse the ABF for whatever reason, any good air separator will work with the ATF.
